lenny sullivan
I discovered this out about lenny sullivan and thought it was very interesting.
The Boss is in mourning.
Bruce Springsteen announced on his official website Monday that his Kansas City performance had been canceled an hour before its scheduled time due to his cousin Lenny Sullivan's death.
"Due to a death in Bruce's immediate family, tonight's show at Sprint Center has been unavoidably cancelled," reads the post. "All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. Bruce and The Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.
"Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last ten years, passed away today at the age of 36. A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family."
TMZ reports that Sullivan was found in dead in his hotel room Monday afternoon. Authorities are investigating.
The legendary Springsteen has had a roller coaster year. In January he won the Golden Globe for best song for "The Wrestler," and a month later he performed the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show. He's been playing the country on his Working on a Dream Tour.

lee jeans on oprah
lee jeans on oprah associated information that I have just been scanning.
I had wanted the Lee jeans that have been advertised as slimming. When I saw them in a store for $25.00 I thought I was getting a great deal. As it turns out you can buy them online at Lee.com for the same price.
We were not around in the mid 1800s but it seems that it was during that time that slimming products were the rage and that need for slimming items has continued since. We've had corsets, girdles, control top panties and of course Oprah Winfrey's favorite slimming product, Spanx.
Lee Jeans has made the Natural Fit line that has an inside construction with built -in slimming features. Lee makes a variety of types of jeans and pants. I bought the Extended Tab with tummy control. All of the products have two pockets but they aren't on the sides. Side pockets instantly add weight. These are just below the waist band and are straight across. The pockets on the inside go across the entire pant giving an extra layer of fabric (mesh) that holds in the tummy. Lee has moved the side seams forward a bit to create a look of slimmer legs. The waistband has no gaps and is very comfortable. The pants have two back pockets with buttons. They are totally flat and not like the usual pockets on your jeans. The line starts at $25.00 and goes up to $35.00.
According to Liz Cahill, the Director of Advertising and Public Relations for Lee Jeans "A recent leejeans.com poll revealed that 40 percent of women said their tummy was the first thing they looked at in the mirror when trying on a new pair of jeans."
Research by Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA) showed that 90% of apparel manufacturers use out -dated sizing systems. The information from this research helped Lee pinpoint our (women's) challenges.
The waistband is wide coming in at 2 inches. This helps the leaner look I want. They come in khaki, black, string, and navy although JCPenny who has them for $29.00 also lists light khaki (which is the string) and khaki plaid.
The sizes run from 4 to 18 however on Amazon.com you can find larger sizes for $29.99. The pants are made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex. (What would we do without spandex?) They are machine washable on warm and can be tumble dried on low. The inseam on the misses is about 32 inches; the petites are 29 inches; the misses long are 34 inches and the women's are 32 inches.
I bought the brown in a medium length. If the store had the long I would have tried them on. The medium just fits me and I'm 5 feet 4 inches tall. If you are any taller you will have to go with a long. I am an 8/10 and in spite of these being slimming I took the 10 in them but overall they seem to run a bit small so if you are buying them online I'd go with the next size if you are in-between sizes.
I really like them. I find them comfortable to wear and they are slimming. I love the waist band which buttons to the right of the zipper with two buttons. That flattens the tummy as well.
At $25.00 they were a good choice for me.

After a thrilling chase sequence, Balloon Boy was found...to have never been in the balloon in the first place. We're glad he's safe, but now the question comes: Who's to blame for this whole catastrophe?
Stevie Safran cleverly notes in Twitter that "Balloon Boy's parents say he won't be grounded, fail to recognize ironic choice of words." But somebody's gotta be punished for this, right? All kinds of public servants (EMTs, FAA, police) came out, on the taxpayer's dime, for something that turned out to be totally unnecessary. So who's to blame?

deanna favre
deanna favre has been in the news show nowadays so i thought you may want to read about it here.
It isn't every day that the wife of a famous athlete becomes famous in her own right. Deanna Favre, wife of Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre, probably would have never wished fame on herself, at least the way it was thrust upon her-her battle with breast cancer. After receiving that diagnosis, she has not only fought the disease herself but has also been an advocate for others. After watching her medical bills mount because of the cancer, even though she has a famous husband who makes a good amount of money as an NFL quarterback, she realized what single women with the same problem have to face. She founded the Deanna Favre HOPE Foundation to help those with a similar problem, and the foundation last year gave 12 $3,000 gifts to help women afflicted with breast cancer pay medical expenses or pay for groceries.
On the official website of the foundation, http://www.deannafavre4hope.com, Deanna Favre says that although she and Brett have been blessed financially, "I still have vivid memories of the days I spent struggling to make ends meet as a single mom. If I'd been diagnosed with cancer back then, I would never have been able to afford the kind of medical care I've received."
She pointed out that a single shot of a drug used to increase white blood cells during chemotherapy can cost close to $3,000. She wonders how someone without insurance would be able to afford that. Besides trying to help the uninsured, she hopes to raise awareness of the issue to the public. She personally learned she had cancer, at the age of 35, one week after the death of her brother.
While having breast cancer, fighting the disease, and helping others with the some condition may be new to Deanna Favre, the dedicated Christian is no stranger to helping others or raising money for charity. She has raised more than $3million for the Brett Favre Fourward Foundation. Her husband's charity raises funds for disadvantaged and disabled children in Mississippi and Wisconsin.
Deanna Favre has resolved the triumph personally over cancer through faith, hope, and love-three things mentioned in the Bible. While not many people may relate to her being the husband of a three time NFL MVP who won the Super Bowl once and played in it twice, she feels others will be able to relate to her for other reasons-and not only because of her cancer. She is also a mother of two girls, is a daughter, a sister, and a Christian. She feels many will be able to relate to her for some or all of those reasons. She says she joins millions in praying every day for a cure for cancer.
She recalls when her cancer was first announced to the public, because of her marriage to Brett Favre, in newspapers, magazines, and the Internet, "My private nightmare had become a matter of public record." That happened on top of her loss of her brother, and Brett's loss of his father, Irvin, to a heart attack only a year earlier.
Deanna Favre says she at first resented her personal tragedy being broadcast nationally, especially because she had to deal with the death of two loved ones. She said because of Brett's name, the family had to deal with everything with the public watching.
She said when she began to wonder why God had allowed her to have cancer, she began to get letters all over the country. Many offered encouragement and prayers. Many were breast cancer survivors, and she says they had been in a worse situation than her. She said she also received letters from medical professionals who said women were being tested for breast cancer, "because of Deanna Favre." She said she began to understand how God would use her cancer for good.
Deanna Favre, the breast cancer victim herself, says since that time she has received numerous letters from women who have survived cancer and said Deanna saved their lives. She said it is those letters who have encouraged her to tell her story. She says she deserves no personal credit, but that she is "just happy to be used" for God's glory.
Deanna says when her cancer was gone, she at first assumed she would return to a normal life. She says that instead her life has been forever changed. She now sees the world through different eyes. What once seemed to be a big issue is now trivial. She says she can now celebrate something as simple as getting out of bed and taking her daughter to school. She now celebrates things such as a quiet night, sitting next to Brett on the couch with his arms about her, friends who accept her at her worst, a full night's sleep-and other things people take for granted.
She has written a book, Don't Bet Against Me, and a portion of the proceeds from that and a special Bible, The Pray for a Cure Bible, go to the Deanna FavreHope Foundation.
Deanna Favre has been through a lot in her life-breast cancer, being a single mother before marrying Brett, her husband's addiction to Vicodin after an injury playing in the NFL (he voluntarily checked himself into the NFL's rehab program), and the death of her brother and Brett's dad. She says that through everything she has learned to trust in God.
